When a database is corrupted:
The database can be restored by using a database exported via the hcmdsdbtrans command.
The type, version, and revision of the installed P9000 Command View AE Suite products must be
the same between the management server when the database was exported and the management
server when the database is restored.
When the hcmdsdbrepair command is executed, all of the P9000 Command View AE Suite
databases installed on the management server are forcibly deleted and then replaced by the ex-
ported databases.
Restoring a database when a data inconsistency occurs
If a database inconsistency occurs, execute the hcmdsdb command to restore the database by using
a database backed up via the hcmdsbackups command.
CAUTION:
The hcmdsdb command, which is used in the procedure below, creates temporary files during
execution. Make sure that you have the write permission for the directory that will contain the
backup files, and that the directory has enough free space. The required space can be estimated
as follows:
total-size-of-all-backed-up-databases-of-P9000Command-View-AE-Suite-
products + 20 MB
Restoring a database when a data inconsistency occurs (in a non-cluster configuration)
To restore a database if the management server is not clustered:
1. Log on to the management server as a user with Administrator permissions or root permissions.
