sec|-t output-file-name}]|-t output-file-name}
Synopsis
This command allows you to send host information such as the host name, HBA WWN,
file system, mount point, and information on the LU connected to the host to the Device
Manager server.
This operation requires Administrator or superuser privileges. If the OS is Windows
Server 2008, Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows Server 2012, the command must
be executed from a command prompt started as an Administrator.
Description
-s server-destination
Specify the Device Manager server destination.
server-destination can be specified in the following format:
IP-address[:port-number]
host-name[:port-number]
localhost[:port-number]
If the port number is omitted, the port number set in the server.server.server-
Port property of the server.properties file is used. In addition, when you
specify an IPv6 format IP address and port number at the same time, enclose the
IPv6 address in square brackets ([]).
This parameter is optional. If -s is omitted, the -t option must be specified.
Options
-u user-id
Specify the user ID of an account that is registered on the destination Device
Manager server and in the PeerGroup user group.
If the -s option is specified, but the -u and -p options are omitted, HiScan uses
the user ID that is stored in server.server.authorization of the serv-
er.properties file.
-p password
Specify the password of an account that is registered on the destination Device
Manager server and in the PeerGroup user group.
The -p option is required if the -u option is specified. If the -s option is specified
but the -u and -p options are omitted, HiScan uses the password that is stored
in server.server.authorization of the server.properties file.
-c sec
Specifies the interval (in seconds) at which host information is sent to the Device
Manager server. Host information is continuously sent to the Device Manager
server at the specified interval, until a forced termination occurs. Values of less
than ten seconds are recognized as invalid. Specify a value in the range from 10
to 2147483647. If -t is specified, -c cannot be used.
