In a cluster configuration, the Host Data Collector service and Host Data Collector Base service must
always be running in the standby node even if the executing node is being used.

Use the Windows Services window or the startup.sh command to start the Host Data Collector
service.

Logging in with administrator permissions (for Windows) or as a root user (for Solaris or Linux)
To start the Host Data Collector service:
Perform the following.
In Windows:
In the Services window, right-click Host Data Collector, and then choose Start from
the menu.
In Solaris or Linux:
Execute the following command:
/opt/CVXPAE/HostDataCollector/tomcat/bin/startup.sh
