HP P9000 Tiered Storage Manager Software 7.4.1-00 CLI Reference Guide (TB585-96029, April 2013)

DetailsParameter
Specify whether the unused capacity in the migration-target volume is to be released
after migration terminates normally.
Yes: Release the unused capacity. (Default)
No: Do not release the unused capacity.
To enable this parameter specification, the following conditions must be satisfied:
The migration-target volume is either a THP volume or THP pool.
If the storage product is XP24000/XP20000 storage, the microcode version is
60-07-0x-xx/xx or later.
The migration-source volume is a THP volume that is part of a Continuous Access
Software or Continuous Access Journal pair in HP P9500 storage (microcode
version 70-02-00-xx/xx or later) or XP24000/XP20000 storage.
The migration-source volume is a THP volume that is part of a Business Copy
pair in HP P9500 storage (microcode version 70-05-02-xx/xx or later) when
the pair volume status is Split (that is, the value of the status attribute of
the ReplicationInfo object of the GetStorageArray (subtarget=Rep-
licationInfo) command in Device Manager CLI is 16).
If the above conditions are not satisfied, even if Yes is specified for this parameter,
the unused capacity is not released, and no message will be output.
