Configuring email notification
Prerequisites
• You must have a Security Administrator account with an Initial Configuration role to perform this
task.
• You must have a mail server that supports the Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP).
• If a firewall is used, port 25 must be used.
To configure settings for email notices:
1. Click Settings > Environmental Settings > Edit Alert Settings. The E-mail Information window
opens.
2. In Notification Alert, select the destination of the alert notification.
• Host Report: Reports alerts only to the host(s) for which SIM report setting is made.
• All: Reports alerts to all hosts.
Alert notification destination is common to Syslog, SNMP, and Email.
3. Select Enable in Mail Notice on the Email tab.
