Installing P9000 Command View AE Suite on cluster management servers

(upgrade or overwrite)

This section describes how to install P9000 Command View AE Suite as an upgrade or overwrite

installation on the management servers in a cluster configuration.

CAUTION:

During setup of a cluster environment, P9000 Command View AE Suite services stop. Therefore, do

not access P9000 Command View AE Suite while setup is in progress.

Preparing the system for a cluster upgrade or overwrite installation

Execute the following operations:

1. On the executing node, bring the resource group in which the P9000 Command View AE Suite

product services have been registered online.

2. Use the cluster management application on the executing node to take the following services

offline:

• HP StorageWorks XP Tiered Storage Manager

• DeviceManagerServer

• HCS Device Manager Web Service (if you are performing an upgrade or overwrite installation

from version 7.0 or later)

• HBase Storage Mgmt Web Service

• HBase Storage Mgmt Common Service

• P9000 Command View AE Suite product resources other than the above

3. On the executing node, execute the hcmdssrv command to stop the Common Component

services.
