6. Use the cluster management application to suppress failover of the resource group.
Perform the following operation on the services listed in step 5 that you do not want to delete:
If Microsoft Cluster Service is used:
Right-click the resource name, and choose Properties, the Advanced tab, and then Do not
restart.
If Windows Server Failover Clustering is used:
Right-click the resource name, and choose Properties, the Policies tab, and then If resource
fails, do not restart.
7. Execute the following command to back up the database:
installation-folder-of-Common-Component\bin\hcmdsbackups /dir
target-folder-for-storing-backup-files /auto
dir
Using an absolute path, specify the local disk folder for the database backup files.
Verify that the folder for the dir option is empty.
auto
Automatically starts or stops P9000 Command View AE Suite services.
NOTE:
When you execute the hcmdsbackups command, a folder named database is created
in the target folder for storing backup files, and a database backup file is created with the
name backup.hdb.
8. Execute the hcmdssrv command to stop the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services.
9. Remove P9000 Command View AE Suite from the executing node.
10. On the executing node, delete any files and folders that are no longer necessary, such as those
created during installation in the cluster environment.
11. Use the cluster management application to move the resource group, in which the P9000
Command View AE Suite product services are registered, to the standby node.
12. Remove P9000 Command View AE Suite from the standby node.
13. On the standby node, delete any files and folders that are no longer necessary, such as those
created during installation in the cluster environment.
14. If any of the following resources are not being used by another application, use the cluster
management application to first take those unused resources offline, and then to delete them:
IP address
Shared disk
15. If the resource group in which the P9000 Command View AE Suite product services are registered
is no longer necessary, then delete it.
