When you operate a storage system
using Business Continuity Manager
on a Secondary site, the license is
also required for the Secondary site.
You cannot use license keys
obtained from version 5.3 or earlier.

Prerequisite Conditions
This section describes the prerequisites for using Business Continuity Manager.
Operating System Prerequisites
Business Continuity Manager can be used on the following operating systems:
OS/390 V2R10
z/OS V1R1 to V1R12
To establish IPv6 connections or HTTPS communication between P9000 Replication Manager and
Business Continuity Manager agent, you must use z/OS V1R9 or later.
NOTE:
The above versions of z/OS are supported as guests in z/VM environments. For details about
operating conditions and other information, contact the product vendor. Note that z/VM
environments do not support HTTPS communications.
The devices in the alternate subchannel set are not supported.
