If this process exists, delete all processes listed by the command by executing the command kill -9
<process ID> on the target host. Then unmount the stale NFS and register or refresh hosts again.
Parity groups in the Create Volume dialog box
The following message appears if the Create Volume dialog box is opened when all of the parity
groups are reserved:
No parity groups for create volumes. Create a parity group. (KAIC16109-E)
If this occurs, wait until the task using the parity groups ends.
Virtual Parity Group information
Virtual Parity Group information does not appear in the volume list. Check the Virtual Parity Group
information from the Detailed Information dialog box for each volume.
Overwriting a Host Data Collector installation
When performing an overwrite installation or upgrade installation of Host Data Collector, an
installation message and button label might not appear correctly. If Host Data Collector cannot
be installed, uninstall and then reinstall it.
After an overwrite installation, all Host Data Collector properties are set to their default values.
During an overwrite installation of Host Data Collector on Windows, information about the
installation directory and port number do not appear correctly.
When performing an overwrite installation of Host Data Collector, the system prompts you to
specify a new installation path and port number. Specify the same installation path and port
number used in the previous installation.
Upgrading Host Data Collector
Upgrading resets the port number used by Host Data Collector to the default (23051).
Appearance of Host Data Collector
When using host discovery with Host Data Collector, the following information does not appear
correctly:
IPv6 address in Windows 2008 German Edition.
IPv6 address in Solaris and HP-UX environments if IPv4 address specified by a user for registering
host is an alias IP address.
IPv6 address in a Linux environment if more than 2 IPv6 addresses are assigned to one interface.
IPv6 address in a non-English edition of Windows 2008 (such as Japanese).
On a UNIX host, if a file system is mounted to a directory that contains any of the following
characters, the file system usage percentage does not appear correctly:
~!@#$%+{}|"<>?`=[]\;',.
Registering hosts using Host Data Collector
If the account used to register Windows hosts was a domain account, the Windows UPN format
(user-name@domain-name) cannot be used. Use the domain-name\user-name format.
The length of the password for the account used to register hosts must not exceed 128 characters.
