HP P9000 Replication Manager Software 7.3.1-00 Configuration Guide

NOTE:
Device Manager must be running for Replication Manager to operate properly.
Starting Replication Manager
To start Replication Manager, start HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View AE Common Component
as described below.
In Windows:
Log in as a user with Administrator permissions, and then start the services from the Start menu
or the command prompt.
Select Start > All Programs > HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View AE >Device Manager >
Start Server with Common Services.
From the command prompt:
installation-folder-for-Common-Component\bin\hcmdssrv /start
In Linux:
installation-folder-for-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -start
When you execute the command, the services of other HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View AE
Suite products are also started. However, if HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View AE Common
Component services are already running, the services of P9000 Command View AE suite products
are not automatically started, and you must start them manually. Because Device Manager must be
running for Replication Manager to operate properly, start the Device Manager service first. For details
about how to start this service, see the HP P9000 Command View Advanced Edition Suite Software
Administrator Guide. For details about how to start the services of other HP StorageWorks P9000
Command View AE Suite products, see the manuals for each product.
Stopping Replication Manager
To stop Replication Manager, stop HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View AE Common Component
as described below.
In Windows:
Log in as a user with Administrator permissions, and then stop the services from the Start menu
or the command prompt.
Select Start > All Programs > HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View AE >Device Manager >
Stop Server with Common Services.
From the command prompt:

In Linux:
installation-folder-for-Common-Component/bin/hcmdssrv -stop
This command also stops the services of other HP StorageWorks P9000 Command View AE Suite
