DescriptionStatusParameter name
OS type of the host
One of the following values can be specified. The values are not
case-sensitive.
If you register a normal host:
- AIX
- HP-UX
- Linux
- SunOS
- Windows
- Others
If you register a virtualization server:
VMware
If you specify this parameter, the host type is automatically set to
normal host or virtualization server.
Do not specify this parameter and the hosttype parameter at
the same time. If both the hosttype parameter and this
parameter are omitted, Others is assumed to be set in the
ostype parameter, and the specified host is registered as a
normal host.
Optional
ostype
Specify true only if the WWN of a normal host that was
registered earlier is migrated to a virtualization server.
When you specify this parameter and register a virtualization
server, if the WWN specified in the wwnlist parameter is the
same as the WWN of a normal host that has already been
registered, the WWN of the normal host is migrated to the
virtualization server.
This parameter can be specified only if VMware is specified in
the ostype parameter. When you specify VMware in the ostype
parameter and omit this parameter, if the WWN overlaps with
an existing WWN, an error occurs and the specified host is not
registered.
Optional
takeoverwwn
Parameter values to obtain in advance
None.
