Will P9000 Performance Advisor work if the HP StorageWorks P9000 Perform-
ance Advisor Tomcat Monitor service is not running?

I have both P9000 Performance Advisor and host agent installed on the same
Windows system and after upgrading P9000 Performance Advisor from pre-
v4.5 to v5.0, I'm seeing the following error message displayed by the installation
wizard. Does it indicate that the upgrade has failed?
The following P9000 Performance Advisor services failed to start: HP
StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Tomcat Monitor
No. The upgrade will not have failed. The error message is displayed because the HP StorageWorks
P9000 Performance Advisor Tomcat Monitor service will have stopped. Click OK on the error dialog
box to ignore the message.

Why is the host agent record still displayed in the Host Information table (Mon-
itoring > Array View > Host Information) even after it is removed from the host?
After you remove the host agent, the corresponding host agent record is still visible on the P9000
Performance Advisor's Host Information screen. Perform the following steps to manually remove the
host agent record from the management station:
1. Click Monitoring > Array View in the left pane.
2. Click the Host Information tab.
3. Select the host agent record that should be removed from P9000 Performance Advisor.
4. Click Remove Host.
P9000 Performance Advisor deletes the host agent record and logs a confirmation on the Event
Log screen.
When you remove a host agent, the data about the command devices that are exposed to its host
and the following data for the XP and P9000 disk arrays are also removed. You should initiate a new
configuration collection on the XP and P9000 disk arrays and also create, or configure the following
parameters again. For more information, see HP StorageWorks P9000 Performance Advisor Software
