HP XP P9000Watch is a command-line utility provided
with HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor. It is designed for
HP XP P9000Watch
focused troubleshooting and can capture data as frequently
as every five seconds. HP XP P9000Watch monitors the
performance of components, such as the ports,
CHIPs/CHAs, ACPs/DKAs, RAID groups, continuous access
journals, and the LDEVs in the XP and the P9000 disk
arrays.
In addition, HP XP P9000Watch also monitors the usage
of MP blades in the P9000 disk arrays.
The performance metrics are displayed on the console of
your host system. The output data is stored in a comma
separated file (.csv) that you can load in HP XP
P9000Sketch to obtain a visual representation of the output
data.
HP XP P9000Sketch is a Windows-based utility provided
by HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor. It enables you to

view a graphical representation of the performance metrics
of different components, such as the ports, LDEVs, RAID
groups, CPU, continuous access journals, and the DKC for
a specified duration.
In addition, HP XP P9000Sketch also provides a graphical
representation of the MP blade utilization metrics for the
P9000 disk arrays.
The performance metrics of these components are stored
in a comma separated file (.csv) provided by HP XP
P9000Watch that can be opened in HP XP P9000Sketch.
From these graphical representations, you can analyze the
performance trend, identify bottlenecks or problems, and
take the necessary corrective actions.
HP XP P9000Info is a command-line utility provided with
HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor. It is used to obtain
HP XP P9000Info
information about the LUNs exposed to the XP and the
P9000 disk arrays.
The CLUI is a command-line user interface that monitors
the performance of XP and P9000 disk arrays. It enables
CLUI
you to set alarms and configure host information using
commands and scripts. The CLUI also provides shell scripts
for most commands. HP recommends that you use these
scripts to access commands.
Upgrade work flow
To upgrade HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor and the host agents, complete the following steps:
1. Complete the prerequisites to upgrade HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor.
2. Upgrade HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor on a management station.
3. Verify that HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor services have started and you are able to login
using your credentials.
4. Verify that the License Status section displays the same license information for the monitored
disk arrays as was displayed before the upgrade. If any of the existing licenses had expired
