5. Select one of the following as the Collection Schedule. By default, the collection is scheduled
for every sunday at 00:00 hours:
• Hourly
• Daily
• Weekly
• Monthly
For more information on the above-mentioned collection schedules, see “Configuration collection
schedules” (page 57).
6. Retain the Collection Type as Outband (default selection), if you want HP XP P9000 Performance
Advisor to directly collect data from the XP or the P9000 disk array through the array SVP
(not applicable for XP1024/128 Disk Arrays). Proceed to next step.
Select the Collection Type as Inband, if you want the RAID Manager Library to collect the
configuration data from an XP or a P9000 disk array and transfer to HP XP P9000 Performance
Advisor, and proceed to next step.
The inband mode of configuration data collection is supported for the P9000 disk arrays,
such as the P9500 and the XP disk arrays, such as the XP24000, XP20000, XP12000,
XP10000, and XP1024/128.
Collecting configuration data 55
