License management in installation and upgrade scenarios
“License management during installation or upgrade” (page 70) provides the different license
management scenarios.

for the first time
license (trial license) is provided with every instance of HP
XP P9000 Performance Advisor. It is valid for a period of
120 days from the day you install HP XP P9000
Performance Advisor, after which a grace period of 60
days is provided.
During the 120 days tenure or the 60 days grace period,
you must generate a Permanent license at the HPAC license
key website for each monitored XP or P9000 disk array,
and install the license key on HP XP P9000 Performance
Advisor.
HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor continues to be in that
state after the upgrade, until the Instant-on period expires

from v5.4 or later versions to v6.0, and HP XP P9000

state until the grace period expires or you generate a

from v5.4 or later versions to v6.0, and the following are
detected:
• License violation for one or more monitored XP or
P9000 disk arrays
• The grace period has already expired
