3. Click the Host Information tab on the Array View screen. The HP XP P9000 Performance
Advisor host-specific details appear in the Host Information table:

Status
To manually refresh the Host Information table, click Refresh Hosts. After the host agents appear
in the Host Information table, start collecting configuration and performance data for your XP and
P9000 disk arrays. Click Request Info if you have made changes on the XP or the P9000 disk
array connected to your host agent, such as creating a new command device or re-installing the
host agent. For more information, see “Using P9000 Performance Advisor” (page 93).
NOTE: When the host agents are installed, you can view the host agent installer log details in
the PA_HA_32Install_Script.log file located in the <system_drive>:\
P9000_PA_Install_Log folder, where <system_drive> is the drive on which the operating
system is installed.
Assigning GUIDs for command devices on a Windows host agent
To overcome device renaming and device remapping issues during data collection, HP recommends
that you use the Windows GUID (\\?\Volume{GUID}) to perform configuration and performance
data collection instead of using the device file names.
Complete the following steps to use the GUID:
1. Log on to the HP XP P9000 Performance Advisor host agent and stop the host agent and
real-time services. For steps to stop these services, see “Starting, stopping, and restarting host
agent services” (page 122).
2. From a command line, run the XPInfo i, to display the list of all the command devices
(see XPInfo i command” (page 82)).

3. Create a GUID on the command devices to perform data collection.
