HP P9000 for Compatible FlashCopy Mirroring User Guide (AV400-96388, October 2011)
If the same host is connected to both Cnt Ac-S Z M-VOL and R-VOL, the R-VOL label must be
rewritten.
4. Use DFSMS to establish a Compatible FlashCopy relationship. See the following example:
COPY FULL INDYNAM(xxxxxx) OUTDYNAM(yyyyyy) FASTREP(REQ)
5. If the step 4 completes successfully, set the Cnt Ac-S Z R-VOL to offline.
6. Resynchronize the Cnt Ac-S Z pair.
If Compatible FlashCopy T-VOL and Cnt Ac-S Z M-VOL are shared:
1. To maintain the consistency of data, terminate the I/O operation to the volumes of Cnt Ac-S
Z pairs. The Cnt Ac-S Z pair status is Duplex.
2. Use DFSMS to establish a Compatible FlashCopy relationship. See the following example:
COPY FULL INDYNAM(xxxxxx) OUTDYNAM(yyyyyy) FASTREP(REQ) FCTOPPRCPRIMARY
Procedure when you use a TSO command
Follow the procedure below if you use a TSO command.
If Compatible FlashCopy S-VOL and Cnt Ac-S Z R-VOL are shared:
1. If you need to terminate the I/O operation to the volumes of Cnt Ac-S Z pairs to maintain the
consistency of data, terminate the I/O operation.
2. Use the TSO command to create a Compatible FlashCopy relationship. See the following
example:
FCESTABL SDEVN(X’xxxx’) TDEVN(X’yyyy’) MODE(COPY) ONLINTGT(YES)
If Compatible FlashCopy T-VOL and Cnt Ac-S Z M-VOL are shared:
1. To maintain the consistency of data, terminate the I/O operation to the volumes of Cnt Ac-S
Z pairs. The Cnt Ac-S Z pair status is Duplex.
2. Use the TSO command to establish a Compatible FlashCopy relationship. See the following
example:
COPY FULL INDYNAM(xxxxxx) OUTDYNAM(yyyyyy) FASTREP(REQ) FCTOPPRCPRIMARY
Procedure when you use a ICKDSF command
Follow the procedure below if you use an ICKDSF command. For details about the ICKDSF command
for creating a Compatible FlashCopy pair, see “Establishing Compatible FlashCopy relationships
by volumes using ICKDSF command” (page 46).
If Compatible FlashCopy S-VOL and Cnt Ac-S Z R-VOL are shared:
1. If you need to terminate the I/O operation on the volumes of Cnt Ac-S Z pairs to maintain the
consistency of data, terminate the I/O operation.
2. Use the ICKDSF command to create a Compatible FlashCopy pair. See the following example:
FLASHCPY ESTABLISH UNIT(X'dev#') TARGETVOL(X'ssid',X'cca',lss) ONLINTGT(YES)
If Compatible FlashCopy T-VOL and Cnt Ac-S Z M-VOL are shared:
1. To maintain the consistency of data, terminate the I/O operation to the volumes of Cnt Ac-S
Z pairs. The Cnt Ac-S Z pair status is Duplex.
2. Use the ICKDSF command to establish a Compatible FlashCopy relationship. See the following
example:
COPY FULL INDYNAM(xxxxxx) OUTDYNAM(yyyyyy) FASTREP(REQ) FCTOPPRCPRIMARY
Using Compatible FlashCopy with Continuous Access Journal Z
The following table describes the volumes when you use Compatible FlashCopy with Cnt Ac-J Z.
