A Snapshot pair must be created before attempting to recognize the V-VOL on the host server.
Do not use a volume already recognized by the host server as a V-VOL, otherwise the host
may be terminated.

Consistency group number: required. Must be in the 0-255 range. If a number is not specified,
an unused number is assigned.

Restrictions:
Pairs with the same P-VOL cannot be in the same consistency group.
Business Copy, Business Copy Z, and Snapshot pairs cannot coexist in the same consistency

Data pool requirements and restrictions
The following volumes cannot be used as data pools:
LUSE or Cache Residency volumes, system disks, command devices, quorum disks
Volumes whose LDEV status is other than Normal or Normal (Quick Format)
Volumes in blocked status or volumes in copying process
Snapshot P-VOLs or V-VOLs
Volumes already used as data pools for Snapshot, Thin Provisioning (including Smart Tiers),
and Thin Provisioning Z.
Volumes used by another program product pair or migration plan
