Set to execute performance monitoring and tier relocation automatically or
manually.
Cycle Time
When selecting Auto from the Tier Management field, select the cycle of
performance monitoring and tier relocation from the Cycle Time list.
Monitoring Period
When selecting 24 Hours from the Cycle Time list, specify the time of starting
and ending of performance monitoring in 00:00 to 23:59 (default value).
Set the end time one hour or more later than the start time. If you specify the
starting time later than the start time.ending time, the performance monitoring
continues until the time when you specify as the ending time on the next day.
Monitoring Mode
Set the Monitoring Mode. Continuation mode is used when you want to add
the past monitoring results for performing tier relocation. Cycle mode is used
when you want to perform tier relocation in the configured cycle.
Buffer Space for New page assignment
Sets buffer space for new page assignment from tier 1 to tier 3 by the rate
from 0% to 50%. You can only change the rate of existing tiers.
Sets buffer space for tier relocation from tier 1 to tier 3 by the rate from 2%
to 40%. You can only change the rate of existing tiers.

Sets buffer space for tier relocation from tier 1 to tier 3 by the rate from 2%
to 40%. You can only change the rate of existing tiers.
If the check box is not selected, the setting is not applied.
Check subscription limit to enter the subscription limit (%). In Snapshot, you
cannot change the setting of this function.
Subscription Limit
If this field is blank, the subscription limit is set to be unlimited.
The following shows the available range:
(Total V-VOL capacity allocated to the pool/pool capacity) ×100(%) +1 to
65534(%)
You cannot configure the subscription limit if both of the following conditions
are satisfied:
- The subscription set to unlimited.
- (Total V-VOL capacity allocated to the pool/pool capacity) ×100) exceeds
65534.
If not checked, the subscription limit is enabled.
Check Pool Name to enter the pool name.Pool Name
If the check box is not selected, the setting is not applied.
Prefix: Enter the alphanumeric characters, which are fixed characters of the
head of the pool name. The characters are case-sensitive.
Initial Number: Enter the initial number for the pool name.
Prefix and Initial Number can be up to the 32 characters in total. Initial
Number can be up to nine digits.
When one pool is selected, the pool name appears in the Prefix text box as the
default value. When multiple pools are selected, the numbers ranging from the
specified Initial Number to the maximum number of the same digits are
automatically set to the pool name.
Example: If Initial Number is set to 1, a number from 1 to 9 is automatically
added to each pool name. If Initial Number is set to 08, a number from 08 to
99 is added to each pool name. If Initial Number is set to 098, a number from
098 to 999 is added to each pool name.
