• You can use both L1 and L2 pairs with Cnt Ac-S volumes. Both node and leaf S-VOLs are
considered secondary volumes by Cnt Ac-S.

Continuous Access Journal
Continuous Access Journal (Cnt Ac-J) volumes can be shared with Business Copy volumes.
• BC primary volumes can be shared with Cnt Ac-J P-VOLs and S-VOLs.
• BC secondary volumes cannot be shared with Cnt Ac-J S-VOLs.
• BC pair volumes may not share Cnt Ac-J journal volumes.

Business Copy pair volumes can be shared with Continuous Access Journal volumes in the following
3-Cnt Ac-J data center (3DC) configurations:
• Multi-target
• Cascade
• Delta-resync

Sharing volumes in a 3-Cnt Ac-J DC multi-target configuration
Business Copy volumes can be shared with Continuous Access Journal volumes in 3 DC multi-target
configurations. The BC primary and secondary volumes can be shared with Cnt Ac-J volumes, as
shown in the following figure.
