Fabric zoning and LUN security for multiple operating systems
You can connect multiple clusters of various operating systems to the same switch and
fabric using appropriate zoning and LU N security as follows:
Storage port zones may overlap if m ore than on e operating system needs to
share an arra
yport.
Heterogeneous op erating systems m ay share an XP array port if you use Secure
Manager and set the appropriate host group and mode. All others must connect
to a dedicat
ed XP array port.
Use Secure Manager for LUN isolation when multiple hosts connect through a
shared array por t. Secure Manager provides LUN security by allowing you to
restrict w
hich LUNs each host can access.
