SNMP Information T ab

The SNMP Information tab allows you to extend the number of LUs and cache memor y using Just in

Time Storage.Click Go – Environmental Settings – SNMP Information in the menu bar of Remote Web

Console

Main window. The SNMP Information tab displays. Select the SNMP Information tab (see

Figure 4 on page 15) .

Note:

Option buttons (left side of the window) and subsystem information icons (window upper right

corner) have been omitted from the screen shot. See HP StorageWorks XP24000 Remote Web Console

User’s Guide for an illustration.

The SNMP I nformation tab has the following features:

• Install:The Extension SN M P check box is selected if the SNMP Agent feature is enabled.

Note:

T o set the SNMP Agent properties from HP StorageW orks XP Remote Web Console

computer, select Extension SNM P on SNMP Information window.

• Manag

er: The Manager section a llows you to add and delete SNMP manager information (see

“Adding SNMP Manager IP Addresses”onpage17).

•The IP Address list box: Displays the IP addresses of registered SNMP managers from which

the

SNMP agent accepts requests. If no manager is registered, the SNMP agent accepts

requests from all ma n agers. You can register up to 32 managers.

•The

IP Address text box: Enter the IP address that you want to register as an SNMP manager.

The

value of each number in the IP address must be from 0 to 255 inclusive.
