Front Components
Component Description

Infrared port Provides wireless communication
between the notebook and an
optional Infrared Data Association
(IrDA)-compliant device.

Mute button Mutes the system volume when
pressed. The button lights up when
volume is muted.

Volume control buttons Increase and decrease system
volume. Press the volume up button
(on right) to increase sound. Press
the volume down button (on left) to
decrease sound.

Display release latch Opens the notebook.
