Flash On Time
This feature specifies the ON time for the indicator LED while in Flash Mode. The
selectable range is 100 to 9,900 milliseconds (0.1 to 9.9 seconds), in 100 millisecond
increments.
Follow these instructions to set this feature.
1. Determine the desired setting in mi
lliseconds.
2. Divide the desired setting by 100 (setting is in 100ms increments). Pad t
he result with
leading zeroes to yield two digits. For example: 0 = 00, 5 = 05, 20 = 20, etc.
3. Go to page 58 and scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcode to enter
Programming Mode.
4. Scan the barcode: SELECT FLASH ON TIME SETTING.
5. Scan the appropriate two digits from the
keypad in Appendix D, Keypad representing
the duration which was determine
d in the steps above. You will hear a two-beep indi-
cation after the last character.
6. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcod
e to exit Programming
Mode.
This completes the procedure. See Table 40 for examples of how to set this feature.
Table 40. Flash On Time Setting Examples
If you make a mistake before the last character, scan the CANCEL barcode to
abort and not save the entry string. You can then start again at the begin-
ning.
