Flash Off Time
This feature specifies the OFF time for the indicator LED while in Flash Mode. The
selectable range is 100 to 9,900 milliseconds (0.1 to 9.9 seconds), in 100 millisecond
increments.
Follow these instructions to set this feature.
1. Determine the desired setting in mi
lliseconds.
2. Divide the desired setting by 100 (setting is in 100ms increments). Pad the result with
leading zeroes to
yield two digits. For example: 0 = 00, 5 = 05, 20 = 20, etc.
3. Go to page 59 and scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcode to enter
Programming Mode.
4. Scan the barcode: SELECT FLASH OFF TIME SETTING.
5. Scan the appropriate two digits from the keypad in Appendix D, Keypad, that repre-
sent the duration which was determined in the
steps above. You will hear a two-beep
indication after the last character.
6. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcode to exit Programming
Mode.
This completes the procedure. See Table 41 for some examples of how to set this feature.
Table 41. Flash Off Time Setting Examples
If you make a mistake before the last character, scan the CANCEL barcode to
abort and not save the entry string. You can then start again at the begin-
ning.
