Files stored on an appliance that exist on more than one of its
protected computers. These files need only be stored once, saving
disk space on the backup server.
computer
account
Computer accounts are used by the HP SureStore AutoBackup
appliance to determine who “owns” the backup information stored
from a protected computer. This becomes important if the
information stored from one computer needs to be transferred to a
different computer (e.g., the user gets a new computer).
Before a personal computer can be managed by an AutoBackup
appliance, the user must provide a unique account name and
password. This name and password define (and verify) the
account that will be associated with this protected computer. The
unique name ensures that no account is associated with more than
one protected computer.
configure
To set customization properties for Client Backup Agent.
critical status
indicator
A red icon that indicates AutoBackup requires attention by an
administrator.
D

with the optional tape backup devices.
delete account This task removes all information about a user account from its
appliance.

under Manage Protected Computers. You must choose a specific
protected computer to perform this task.
