HP SureStore AutoBackup Administrator's Guide - Not Orderable

schedule Once a baseline backup has been performed on a protected
computer, AutoBackup can perform incremental updates to the
backed up information to reflect changes in the state of the
computer. These changes can include creation of new files and
changes to existing files, including deletion of the file. These
incremental updates (called incremental backups or simply
backups) are performed according a schedule specified for that
protected computer.
There are two parts to the backup schedule you must specify for
your protected computer: which days of the week to perform an
incremental backup, and the time window within that day when
the backup should be performed. AutoBackup will attempt to
perform a backup for each day specified within the time window,
but it may not be able to. However, no more than one incremental
backup will be performed on a specific protected computer on a
given day.

T
tape backup Just as AutoBackup protects files on a personal computer by
making backup copies of the files, the AutoBackup appliance
protects its files by performing a tape backup: copying its
database files to a tape cartridge.
Not every AutoBackup appliance has a tape drive attached, but
those that do can perform a tape backup from the Tasks tab page
of the Web Administration Interface.
