Check if the problem is with the appliance by browsing a web page on another
system. If this page suffers the same problem, or the browser does not respond, then
it is likely there is a problem with the appliance's web server. Try rebooting the
appliance. If the appliance can be browsed with no problems from the other system,
then this is a problem with the computer you are using to browse the Administrator's
console, not the appliance. The browser may be configured incorrectly. (See The

Appliance powered up but admin console
cannot be loaded.
Try using the client software. If this fails to connect, the appliance may be hung,
although it should automatically detect this state and initiate a recovery by rebooting
itself. If this has not occurred try resetting the power to the appliance. If this fails

Also, try browsing a web page on the appliance from another system. If the appliance
can be browsed with no problems from the other system, then this is a problem with
the appliance you are using to browse the Administrator's console, not the appliance.
The browser may be incorrectly configured. (See The appliance cannot be accessed

LCD indicates disk error. Appliance
generates errors whilst operating.
If there was a problem with the primary disk, the appliance would reboot and attempt
to rebuild the data. If there was a serious problem with the primary disk the machine
would not boot and this icon would not be shown. As the machine has booted, there
must be a second hard disk which is having problems. This is a non-recoverable

The appliance cannot be found by the
clients.
Check the client to see if it can detect other machines on the network. This identifies
if the problem is with the appliance or the client. Check that the clients are using the
correct IP address for the appliance. If they are accessing the appliance through a
router, then this information is essential. If the clients are on the same subnet, then
they should automatically receive the IP address of the appliance.
If the appliance is at fault, examine the LCD for the network icon. Follow these links
