HP SureStore AutoBackup Administrator's Guide - Not Orderable

using the Re-install from Existing Backup Account option. The reinstallation process
ensures that the correct address is used.
The appliance has stopped serving
clients and the network icon on the LCD
displays no activity.
The most obvious cause of this problem is that the connection between the appliance
and the network has been broken. Check that the cable connecting the appliance to
the network is secure at both ends. If this fails then try replacing the cable with one
that is known to work. If the connection is good, then the yellow light next to the
network cable should be on.
Alternatively, the appliance may have lost its DHCP lease and got a new IP address.
The clients on the other side of a router cannot find the appliance any more. The
method of reestablishing the connection is to find the TCP/IP address from the
appliance (this is displayed during bootup), and reinstall the client software, using
this new address. Unfortunately, if the address has changed once, then it is likely to
change again at a later point in time. Therefore the recommended action is to reset
the appliance, and reconfigure the network settings with static TCP/IP addressing.

RJ45 Network Connection
This is the standard connector used to connect to UTP (Unshielded Twisted Pair)
LAN cable. UTP cable must be CAT5 standard to run 100BaseT. The appliance will
select 10BaseT/100BaseT automatically.
