The client disconnected from the network
during backup.
If the client and the appliance stop communicating, then the appliance will wait for a
small period of time. If communication returns, then the appliance will continue the
current task. If the appliance waits for too long, then it assumes that the client has
disconnected, and the current task will be canceled. For dial-up networks, ensure that
you are using a reliable phone line. For a Local Area Network (or equivalent) then
the client should not be disconnected from the network unless it has occurred
physically. Check that the RJ45 socket is plugged in , and that any network server
being used is functioning properly.
There is insufficient capacity on the
appliance to perform a backup.
The appliance will not back up the data on the client. Existing accounts must be
removed from the appliance to provide more space for the remaining clients. Check
for accounts that no longer require backup and can be deleted. Alternatively, you
may decide to physically increase the capacity by installing another appliance on the
network and will be able to migrate a few accounts to the new appliance.
There is a message telling me not to use
Microsoft Outlook during my AutoBackup
backup.
This will occur when Microsoft Outlook is used while the backup process is in
action. If email is used while the backup is occurring a warning message will be
generated. Use of email should be halted while the message is on the screen.
The appliance refuses to back up
files/folders.
The files or folders may have been excluded from the backup. To view the
exclusions, click on the View exclusions label on the dialog box which stated the the
files/folders couldn't be backed up. This will allow you to change the status of the
excluded files/folders. To back up the selected files and folders click on the Backup
label in the dialog box.
Alternatively, the files may have been locked for exclusive access by another
