Then do this :
Ensure power to the drive (check plugged in and switched on, change power
cable).
Power cycle the drive.
If another drive is available to swap in, try this to confirm drive or power
problem.
Push the unload button and if the tape doesn't eject hold the unload button for
approximately 10 seconds to force eject. If this fails, turn the power off and
on again.
Power cycle the drive.
If the tape is eventually ejected, discard the old tape and restart the operation
with a different tape.
Use new recommended media.
Correct environmental conditions and/or ensure tapes are allowed to adjust to
new environment before using.
If this was not successful then call for service
Stuck magazine (in an Autoloader)
First check :
Check whether there is a magazine in the drive
Check the LCD display on the front of the drive for advisory messages
Check power connected. Check fuse. Check power cord.
Will the tape eject with a force eject?
Then do this :
