After completing the conguration, reboot the printer to exit the "Wireless Conguration" mode.
Method two: Enable wireless printing on the control panel
Use this method to enable wireless printing on the printer and the HP Jetdirect on the printer control panel.
Depending on the FutureSmart rmware installed on the printer, follow the instructions to complete the
conguration using the printer control panel.
FutureSmart 3
Follow these steps if your printer has a FutureSmart 3 rmware version installed.
1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, scroll to and select Administration.
2. Open the following menus:
a. Network Settings
b. Wireless
c. Wireless Station
3. Select Wireless Radio, select On, and then select Save.
4. Select SSID, type the wireless network SSID provided from your system administrator, and then select Save.
5. Select Authentication, select the security level provided from your system administrator, and then select
Save.
6. If you selected WPA-PSK as the authentication type, then set the password:
a. Select Congure PSK and then select Pass-Phrase.
b. Type the password provided from your system administrator, and then select Save.
7. If the printer is in Cong mode, reboot the printer to return the printer to a Ready state.
8. Verify that the " HP Jetdirect 2700w USB Wireless Print Server" IP address has been assigned using the
following steps:
a. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, select the Wireless icon .
NOTE: The wireless IP address is dierent than the printer's IP address. It may take some time for the
"HP Jetdirect 2700w USB Wireless Print Server" IP address to display depending on the network speed.
b. Wait for the "HP Jetdirect 2700w USB Wireless Print Server" to display in the list of IP addresses on the
printer control panel screen.
● If the "HP Jetdirect 2700w USB Wireless Print Server" IP address does not display in the list, wait a
few minutes and try again.
● If the "HP Jetdirect 2700w USB Wireless Print Server" IP address displays in the list, you are ready
to print.
