FutureSmart 4
Follow these steps if your printer has a FutureSmart 4 rmware version installed.
1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, navigate to and select Settings.
2. Open the following menus:
a. Networking
b. Wireless Direct
3. Select Status, and then select On.
4. Select SSID, type the wireless network SSID provided from your system administrator, and then select Done.
5. Select Authentication, select the security level provided from your system administrator, and then select
Done.
6. If you selected WPA-PSK as the authentication type, then set the password that you obtained from your
system administrator, and then select Done.
7. If the printer is in Cong mode, reboot the printer to return the printer to a Ready state.
8. Verify that the "HP Jetdirect 2700w USB Wireless Print Server" IP address has been assigned using the
following steps:
a.
From the Home screen on the printer control panel, touch the Information icon , and then select
the Wireless icon .
NOTE: The wireless IP address is dierent than the printer's IP address. It may take some time for the
"HP Jetdirect 2700w USB Wireless Print Server" IP address to display depending on the network speed.
b. Wait for the "HP Jetdirect 2700w USB Wireless Print Server" address to display in the list of IP
addresses on the printer control panel screen.
● If the "HP Jetdirect 2700w USB Wireless Print Server" IP address does not display in the list, wait a
few minutes and try again.
● If the "HP Jetdirect 2700w USB Wireless Print Server" IP address displays in the list, you are ready
to print.

After completing the conguration, reboot the printer to exit the "Wireless Conguration" mode.
