b. General Settings
c. Restore Factory Settings
A verication message advises that completing the reset function might result in loss of data.
3. Select Reset to complete the process.
The printer restarts automatically after the reset operation completes.
FutureSmart 4
Follow these steps if your printer has a FutureSmart 4 control panel.
1. From the Home screen on the printer control panel, open the Settings menu.
2. Open the following menus:
a. General
b. Reset Factory Settings
3. Select Reset.
A verication message advises that completing the reset function might result in loss of data.
4. Select Reset again to complete the process.
The printer restarts automatically after the reset operation completes.
Network computers cannot communicate with the printer
Use the following information to resolve issues when the network computers are unable to communicate with
the printer.
If the network computers cannot communicate with the printer, check the following:
● The network conguration settings. Print an HP Jetdirect conguration page to verify all conguration
settings for your network.
NOTE: If you previously congured the HP Jetdirect 2700w Print Server with a wireless connection to your
network, the network computers might not be able to communicate with the printer.
● The wireless computer is congured to match the wireless network settings on the HP Jetdirect 2700w Print
Server. Common errors include incorrect entries for the following items:
– Communication mode.
– Network name (SSID) which is case sensitive.
NOTE: NOTE: The network name (SSID) is case-sensitive. Be sure to specify “hpsetup” using
lowercase characters.
– Security type or Authentication method.
