Using the on-screen keyboard
The tablet has an on-screen keyboard that is displayed when you are in tablet mode.
1. To display this keyboard on a tablet running Windows 10, tap the keyboard icon on the right side of the
notication area.

To display this keyboard on a tablet running Windows 8, on the Start screen, tap a text box. The
keyboard is displayed.
2. Begin typing.
To access settings for the on-screen keyboard:

Type control panel in the taskbar search box, select Control Panel, select Devices and Printers,
and then select
Typing.
Windows 8
1. Swipe from the right side of the touch screen to display the charms, and then tap Settings.
2. Tap Change PC settings, tap PC and devices, tap Typing, and then follow the on-screen instructions.
