6. Connect the power cable (1) and data cable (2) to the back of the hard drive.
NOTE: The power cable for the hard drives is a two-headed cable that is routed from the power
supply to the rear of the hard drive bays.
7. Connect the opposite end of the data cable to one of the white (model 400) or light blue (model
490) SATA connectors on the system board.
NOTE: Refer to System board connections – model 400 on page 56 or System board
connections – model 480 on page 57 for an illustration of the system board drive connectors.
Removing a 3.5-inch device
CAUTION: All removable media should be taken out of a drive before removing the drive from the
computer.
