Laser/scanner assembly
CAUTION: Do not replace the laser scanner and the formatter PCA at the same time. The settings for
the laser scanner are stored in the formatter RAM. When you install a new laser scanner, it reads the
settings from the formatter.
Before proceeding, remove the following components:

Remove the laser/scanner assembly
1. Open the front door.
2. On the left side of the product, pinch and remove the fan duct (callout 1), and then disconnect the
two flat cables (callout 2).
