Device
Select the 7 Internal Device item to erase the internal device
or get the status of the internal device.
1 Secure Erase Select the 1 Secure Erase item to erase all of the data on the
disk and unlock it if required.
This might take a long time.
NOTE: The system will be unusable until the system files
are reinstalled. The ATA secure-erase command erases the
entire disk, including firmware. The disk remains an
encrypted disk. The process erases the entire disk, including
firmware. The disk remains an encrypted disk.
2 Erase/
Unlock
Select the 2 Erase/Unlock item to cryptographically erase all
data on disk and unlock the disk to allow access to it from
any product.
NOTE: The system will be unusable until the system files
are reinstalled. The process erases the HP High Performance
Secure Hard Disk. The disk becomes a non-encrypted disk.
3 Get Status This item provides disk status information if any is available.
8 External
Device
Select the 8 External Device item to erase the internal device
or get the status of the internal device.
