Adjust the Contrast setting
to increase or decrease
the difference between the
lightest and darkest color
on the page.
Background Cleanup Select a value using the
slide bar, or touch
Automatic.
Adjust the Background
Cleanup setting if you are
having trouble copying a
faint image.
Sharpness Select a value using the
slide bar, or touch
Automatic.
Adjust the Sharpness
setting to clarify or soften
the image. For example,
increasing the sharpness
could make text appear
crisper, but decreasing it
could make photographs
appear smoother.
Default Select this to make the
selected Image
Adjustment setting the
default value.
Content Orientation Orientation Portrait*
Landscape
For some features to work
correctly, you must specify
the way the content of the
original document is
placed on the page.
Portrait orientation means
the short edge of the page
is along the top.
Landscape orientation
means the long edge of
the page is along the top.
