General Print Settings menu
To display: At the product control panel, select the Administration menu, and then select the General
Print Settings menu.
In the following table, asterisks (*) indicate the factory default setting.

Manual Feed Enabled

Use to enable or disable the
manual-feed feature, which
allows the user to feed paper
into the product by hand. When
this feature is enabled, the user
can select manual feed from the
control panel as the paper
source for a job. If a tray is not
specified as part of a job,
manual feed is selected.
Courier Font Regular*
Dark
Select which version of the
Courier font you want to use. The
factory default setting is Regular,
which uses an average stroke
width. The Dark setting can be
used if a heavier Courier font is
needed.
Wide A4 Enabled
Disabled*
Changes the printable area of
A4-size paper. If you enable this
option, eighty 10-pitch
characters can be printed on a
single line of A4 paper.
Print PS Errors Enabled
Disabled*
Use this feature to select whether
a PostScript (PS) error page is
printed when the product
encounters a PS error.
Print PDF Errors Enabled
Disabled*
Selects whether a PDF error page
is printed when the product
encounters a PDF error.
Personality Auto*
PCL
POSTSCRIPT
PDF
Configures the default print
language or personality for the
product. Normally you should
not change the product
language. If you change the
setting to a specific product
language, the product does not
automatically switch from one
language to another unless
specific software commands are
sent to it.
