8 Use needle nose pliers to push the two tabs away from the end of
the paper-feed roller shaft.
Note You might find it easier to first remove the right plate assembly (see
page 112).
Do not remove the gear shield, because the gears and springs can
easily separate and become misplaced.
9 Pull the paper-feed roller shaft toward the left side of the printer
and remove it.
