External USB hard drives and optical drives that do not have an external power source are not
supported.

The following table lists examples of USB devices that are compatible and non-compatible with the
HP USB Keyboard with USB Ports.
NOTE: The two USB ports on the keyboard each support devices up to 100 milliamps of power. If a
device declares over 100mA, a notification will appear in the Windows system tray.
Devices listed as compatible in the following table must not exceed 100mA of power to function
properly.
