Software Requirements
Deployment Using a Network
To deploy operating systems using a network, the following software components
are required:
• Microsoft Deployment Toolkit 2010 (MDT 2010) –
Download
• Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK) version 2.0 –
Download
• Windows PowerShell v2.0 –
Download
• Device drivers required for the target computer
• Device drivers required for the reference computer
Note:
Windows PowerShell 2.0 is distributed as part of the
Windows Management Framework Core from Microsoft.
Deployment Using Removable Media
To deploy operating systems using removable media, the following components are
required:
• Windows Automated Installation Kit (WAIK) version 2.0 –
