Scan to a USB flash drive
1. Load the document on the scanner glass or into the document feeder according to the indicators on the
printer.
2. Insert a USB flash drive into the walk-up USB port.
3. The USB Flash Drive menu opens with the following options:

Print Documents
●
View and Print Photos
●
Scan to USB Drive
4. Select Scan to USB Drive.
5. When the summary screen opens, the following settings can be adjusted:
●
Scan File Type
●
Scan Resolution
●
Scan Paper Size
●
Scan Source
●
File Name Prefix
●
Output Color
6. Touch the Scan button to scan and save the file.
The printer creates a folder named HPSCANS on the USB drive, and it saves the file in .PDF or .JPG
format using an automatically generated file name.
