Power button board

Power button board (includes cable) 730822-001
Before removing the power button board, follow these steps:
1. Turn off the computer. If you are unsure whether the computer is off or in Hibernation, turn
the computer on, and then shut it down through the operating system.
2. Disconnect the power from the computer by unplugging the power cord from the computer.
3. Disconnect all external devices from the computer.
4. Remove the service cover (see Service cover on page 47), and then remove the following components:
a. Battery (see Battery on page 49)
b. Keyboard (see Keyboard on page 59)
c. Base enclosure (see Base enclosure on page 71)
d. Fan (see Fan on page 73)
e. Heat sink (see Heat sink on page 80)
Remove the power button board:
1. Release the ZIF connector (1) to which the power button board cable is connected, and then disconnect
the power button board cable from the system board.
2. Remove the Phillips PM2.0×3.0 broad head screw (2) that secures the power button board to
the top cover.
