Playing Music Files 37
Using supported music file types
You can play the following types of digital audio
files in iTunes. By default, iTunes converts several file
types to .aac files when you import them into the
iTunes music library.
Some file types, such as protected .wma files and
other proprietary file types, cannot be played
in iTunes. Go to the iTunes Help menu for more
information about protected and proprietary file
types.
Media Center cannot play .aac files from My Music.
With iTunes, you can share .mp3, .aiff, .wav, and
.aac files between other computers on a local
network.
Changing song title, genre, artist, or album in iTunes
For more information about changing title, genre,
artist, or album information with iTunes, refer to the
Help menu in iTunes. It is not possible to make these
changes from within HP Tunes in Media Center.
Playing CDs with HP Tunes
When you insert a CD that has not been added to
your iTunes music library, it will be listed under
Playlists or Albums. If it has been added to your
library, it will be displayed under Songs, Albums,
Artists, or Genres.
1 Press the Media Center Start button on the
remote control, or, with your mouse, click
Start on the taskbar, and then click
Media Center.
2 Select HP Tunes.
3 Insert a CD.
4 Select Playlists or Songs.
5 Scroll through the displayed playlists or songs,
and then select your CD title. If the songs on
this CD weren’t added to your iTunes music
library, this playlist or song will disappear
when you eject the CD.
