k. As paper is feed into the path, check the control-panel to verify the count under Paper path
sensor 2 (unreachable) increments by one when activated. Failure to advance the count
while manually activating the sensor could indicate a failed sensor, cabling, or supplied logic
voltage, (see section below entitled: evaluate cable connections).
l. If the paper fails to feed manually through the ADF, attempt to floss the area around the
sensors with an index card/business card to determine if a scrap of paper inhibits the paper
path.
