Recommended action for call-center agents and onsite technicians
1. Turn the printer off, then back on.
2. Check the power source. Ensure the power source meets the printer requirements. Ensure the
printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not into any other device.
NOTE: The fuser temperature control will not work properly, and will cause this error, if the power
source does not meet the power frequency requirements (40 Hz to 70 Hz).
3. Ensure that the printer is not located in front of a vent or window where the cool air might interfere
with the ability of the fuser to heat up.
4. Turn the printer off, wait for 20 seconds, and then turn the printer on.
5. Remove the fuser, and then reinstall the fuser. Ensure that there is no residual paper in the fuser.
CAUTION: The fuser might be hot.
6. Check the event log for active low warnings 10.23.60 or 10.23.70 preceeding the 50.X error.
If the customer does not have an active low warning, 10.23.60 or 10.23.70 event in the log,
replace the fuser under warranty.
