Recommended action for customers
1. Follow the steps for clearing the jam on the control panel and remove the paper from the specified
area.
2. Make sure that the paper meets the HP specifications for the printer.
3. Check the duplex path on the right door assembly for any damage or blockage. If possible clear
blockage.
4. Ensure all paper is removed from the printer.
5. If the error persists, contact your HP-authorized service or support provider, or contact customer
support at www.hp.com/go/contactHP.
Recommended action for call-center agents and onsite technicians
1. Follow the steps for clearing the jam on the control panel and remove the paper from the specified
area.
2. Make sure that the paper meets the HP specifications for the printer.
3. Check the duplex path on the right door assembly for any damage or blockage, replace the right
door assembly as needed.

4. Test the duplex re-feed sensor (SR22) on the registration assembly using the manual sensor test.If
the sensor does not function correctly, replace the registration assembly.

NOTE: The sensor flag is located on the right door assembly.

5. If the sensor flag is damaged, replace the right door assembly.

6. Use the component tests to run the duplex re-feed motor M11 drive test. If the motor is not
functioning correctly, replace the duplex drive assembly
