6.5 PowerPatch 4
Improper version number in C.65.02
Some systems that were preloaded with MPE/iX release 6.5 PowerPatch of Express 2, have been
found to have a typographical error in line 3 of the HPSWINFO.PUB.SYS file. Specifically, the
third line of HPSWINFO.PUB.SYS shows "MPE/iX MIT C6502" instead of "MPE/iX MIT
C.65.02".
This problem causes Patch/iX to fail (during a patch installation) with the following error:
"ERROR: HP Patch/iX failed to read the VUFs from the HPSWINFO.PUB.SYS
file (PMERR 156).".
Before installing the C.65.04 PowerPatch, check to see if you have this condition. If the condition
exists, edit the HPSWINFO file to change the VUF to C.65.02.

HPINSTAL & AUTOINST work file needs to be larger
Version E.12.01 of AUTOINST and version B.13.03 of HPINSTAL have a fix for this and these
versions must be restored from the 6.5 PowerPatch 4 tape before using them for installation of this
PowerPatch release.
:NMMAINT,26 may report missing MTERMDSM
After certain installations of the C.65.04 PowerPatch, the file MTERMDSM.DIAG.SYS may
be missing, resulting in the following warning message when nmmaint,26 is run:
NM program file: MTERMDSM.DIAG.SYS ** NOT INSTALLED **
The 'missing' MTERMDSM file is actually the same as TERMDSM. No problem exists, and
no action needs to be done, but TERMDSM can be copied to MTERMDSM.DIAG.SYS to
avoid the warning message.
